"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?"
When planning our change projects the naysayers will many times thwart a good idea before it can even be understood or recorded. It is a valid exercise to spend time in a planning session using the ground rule assumption that you cannot fail so therefore any idea is worthy of consideration. Once the idea is recorded, identifying how to knock the barriers down so the idea can be implemented begins. A bad idea thrown away after analysis is better than a good idea thrown away before anyone knows about it.
