Show a focus on change leadership
When announcing change we tend to frame the changes in the context of logical next steps regarding our strategy. This is the right thing to do. But, be careful to also describe the special efforts being made around change leadership. This reduces the worry of managers and employees that the business requirements will override the human impacts. By outlining the plan around change leadership, describing components like communication, workforce readiness activities, transition planning, we can allay these fears and move more quickly to implementing the mechanics of the change initiative.
