Mix or Separate?

Change initiatives tend to be complex. The changes usually affect people in each segment of our organization somewhat differently. When communicating change it's necessary to get the message down to the local level as quickly as possible. What does it mean to me? What does it mean to my department? What does it mean to my clients? If logistically it is necessary to gather all employees together in a large group, be sure to facilitate breakout sessions to discuss the local impacts at as low a level as possible, as quickly as possible. We try to do this immediately following any general announcement, at least on the same day. If delegating this task to department managers, be sure they are prepared and actually execute the task.
