We regularly hear the stereotype that older people are more resistant to change. Is this true? Maybe as we get older we get more set in our ways in general. But, if you buy in to our philosophy that resistance to change at work is a learned response age doesn't matter as much as the attitude of the person or persons that teach you. The environment around an employee is so important regarding the tendency toward resistance. If anything, a younger employee is more attuned to fitting into the environment. We've seen damaging resistance in all age groups. Age doesn't matter as much as past history with change in a business environment.
