Executive Leadership Circle
There is a line for growth companies. If we cross over that line then growth has very few limits. If we don't cross over that line then the rate of growth begins to slip. That line is the transition from the 90% / 10% to 60% /40% equation.
Typically, for a company executives spend 90% of their time focused on their business area and 10% of their time running the overall organization. In Executive Leadership Circle the overall approach is designed to move this ratio from 90/10 to 60/40. This is a very large transition with very high impact potential.
Executive Leadership Circle is designed to be a strategic umbrella over all of the activities of the organization in order to experience a strategically consistent approach to day-to-day leadership and operations.
Executive Leadership Circle consists of six full-day group sessions (every other month) per year for the executive team with separate individual coaching for each participant.
In addition to the tactical view exercised in regular staff meetings, Executive Leadership Circle allows a deeper, strategic view designed to learn across boundaries, and collaboratively. This deeper view assists in building an insight into the mindset of each team member not available in any other way.
This professional development program, offered exclusively by Transition Management Advisors, is based on the concept of process training. There is a critical difference between "process training" and "event training." Event training is when you learn a new technique that is not integrated into your processes and therefore the learning cannot sustain itself. Event training produces results for a time, but then you sink right back into the quagmire of the status quo.
Process training is refocusing over and over again at a progressively deeper and deeper level of heightened understanding and proficiency on a critical competency until you become masterful at it.
This program adheres to the following approaches consistent with adult learning principles:
- Education occurs over time
- Education is not provided in one continuous session
- Staggered sessions allow real world application
- Analysis of the participant's use of the material takes place
- Participants are encouraged to test and question the material
- Participants are coached through situations in which their newfound knowledge and behaviors are questioned by others or pressure of the status quo is exerted
- A proper mix of concept, mindset, and procedural how-to content
- Practical application of techniques within your organizational processes
The primary goal of Executive Leadership Circle is to create a long lasting beneficial change in behavior within your organization even though you've been successful to this point. Sustained growth requires executive team growth.
